Copyright

The Obscene Publications Act 1959 (c. 66) is an Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom Parliament that significantly reformed the law related to obscenity in England and Wales. films

Privacy Law
The law is set for celebrities and any human in England has this right of privacy for example news companies can not hack phones or private information other wise they will be fined or shut down. An example of this is News of the World they hacked Madeline Mcann parents phones and many others and they got shut down News of The World was owned by Rupert Murdoch he owns the chain 20th Century Fox corporation they own Fox News the sun and Sky this means own Sky Sports. This scandal is still going on and till this day the news are still finding out who the News of the world hacked. The reason it is a law os because it is private information that is not meant for the public eye. the law is a regulation that protects a persons right to be left alone. another example of privacy law is that you cannot be harassed by the press in there own home or in a private place and the paparazzi cannot take photos on there holiday without there example. If your rights get breached you can sew. Examples of this are Justin Bieber speeding away from the Paparazzi this caused him to get in trouble from the police.

Copyright
The copyright law means that you cannot use anyones work without consent or if the person who made the content has been dead for 70 years if yo   u break the law you will get sewed a certain a percent of the the money you made or all of the money. the law effects music, films, art, or any creation you make. There are ways to get around copyright law this is to take inspiration from the original artist and put your own twist. another way to get away with copyright laws are in photoshop you can change the image 4 times this is from blurring changing the colour or the size. An example of copyright infringement was in Avatar and the makers and artists got sewed as another artist made artwork so similar than the world its self

Ethical
Media producers need to be carful with there content because it maybe offensive or harmful to others. a good example of this is that was ethically wrong was sachgate.

"Will they ever learn? Partners in crime Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand apologise for 'Sachsgate' - then crack tasteless jokes about Jimmy Savile sex scandal

  • Pair lost their jobs in 2008 after making lewd hoax calls to Andrew Sachs about his granddaughter
  • Brand has appeared on Ross's ITV chat show due for broadcast tomorrow night
  • The friends apologised for their pranks but still laughed about it
  • On Savile, Brand said: 'Can we just talk a while about how everyone from the 70s was a nonce?'
Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross have apologised publicly for the 'Sachsgate' affair only to cause more controversy by cracking jokes about the Jimmy Savile paedophile scandal.
The pair have been reunited on television for the first time since their 2008 prank on BBC Radio 2, as the comedian appeared on Ross's ITV1 chat show set for broadcast tomorrow night.
But unable to avoid controversy for long, Brand said his friend 'didn't give a monkey's' about the furore caused after they made a series of offensive hoax phone calls to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs."

The following quote was from the Daily Mail
In my opinion this was very wrong and was not at all professional.

Contracts
Contracts in media are either a written agreement or a spoken. Contracts are important in media because it enforces each party to complete what ever needs doing otherwise there will be consequences.  The most popular contracts in media are employment contracts.
