Early Animation Devices
Zoetrop is a series of pictures going around in a circle this makes it look like a moving image.
Phenakistoscope
Re-animation from an 1833 McLean's Optical Illusions, or, Magic Panorama disc. The phénakisticope was the first widespread animation device that created a fluent illusion of motion.
